Be quick to not miss out!

Our specially designed School Leaver Hospitality Skill-Set is now open for enrolment.



You recently advised us that you would like to be notified when our Hospitality Start-Up Skill-Set was open for enrolment. This skill-set is designed to enable learners to be job-ready for the busy tourism season and to enable you as future tertiary students to earn while you learn at University or TAFE.

Enrolling students must complete ALL 4 units of competence including SITXFSA001 Use hygienic procedures for food safety, SITHFAB005  Prepare and serve espresso coffee, SITHGAM001 Provide responsible conduct of gambling and   SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol to be eligible to receive the Statement of Attainment – Hospitality Start-Up Certificate. The Skill-Set is sponsored by Training Services NSW and there is no fee payable where learners meet the criteria for enrolment.

There are four group offerings some on similar dates (no weekend delivery involved). Groups come together for some unit delivery. To enrol in the group/dates most suited to you, please click on the related weblink below:

Attendance will be required at Nowra TAFE - Bomaderry Campus for each group.

Work experience

The NSW DPI is offering interested Aboriginal people work experience in fish hatcheries run by the agency across the state. The focus of these hatcheries is to supply fish for various stocking programs being run across NSW.  Placement for up to one week for school students in Year 10 and over and other interested people is being offered at;


Work experience aims to provide participants time in an operating hatchery to experience operational demands for the job role and industry. Participants may get 'hands-on' experience in pond and/or tank maintenance; water quality monitoring; handling fish; health management and record keeping. A limited number of placements will be available each year and offered under an Expression of Interest (EOI) process.
